‘… the one perishable commodity that a Lawyer sells’ – Fabian Ajogwu, SAN
Time is the continuum in which events occur in succession from the past to the present and on to the future.
Time is a one-dimensional quantity used to sequence events, to quantify the durations of events and the intervals between them.
Time appears to have a direction – the past lies behind, fixed & immutable, while the future lies ahead and is not necessarily fixed.
Time is quantified in relative terms (such as longer, shorter, faster,) or in numerical terms using units (such as seconds, minutes, hours, days)
The SI unit for time, the Second is the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium 133 atom
There is an appointed time for everything. – Ecclesiastes 3:1–8
A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted
A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing
A time to search, and a time to give up as lost
A time to be silent, and a time to speak
A time for war, and a time for peace
A time to bill, and a time to honour bills!
